Home > Sizing Guide
As Violent Delights stocks many different brands of clothing from around the world and ships worldwide, it is important to note that sizing structures vary between manufacturers and their country of origin.
Due to variations in the actual measurements of tag sizes such as S, M, L etc between brands and countries, we ALWAYS recommend selecting your size according to the actual measurements and size recommendations provided on the product pages for each item (rather than simply ordering your regular tag size), as these are taken directly from each individual garment, and will often vary between brands.
Whilst great care has been taken to provide accurate information on this page, due to variations in sizing structures between different brands and countries, the details given below are intended for use as GUIDELINES ONLY. Please refer to the listings for for specific measurements of each individual item.
Remember to keep the measuring tape comfortably loose when measuring your body. Always remember that with items such as jackets and waistcoats, you need to allow room between your own body's measurements and those of the garment to ensure a comfortable fit.
Chest/Bust: Measure around your body, under your arms and over the fullest part of your chest.
Waist: Hold the measuring tape at your natural waistline. For a baggy fit, add 2" - 4" to waist size. Please note that pants with a low rise fit lower on the waist/upper hips, and those with an adjustable waistband may have an inch or two extra n the waist measurement to allow room for adjustment.
Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your body at the hip.
As tag sizing varies between countries and brands, please use the actual measurements and the sizing recommendations shown in the listing clothing to select your correct size.
Important Note: As you need to allow room between your own measurements and those of a garment, both the actual measurements of jackets and tops AND the chest sizes they will comfortably fit are provided for each item for your reference. Please refer to the 'To Fit Chest' size recommendations provided to select your size, and order in accordance with your measurements as taken above. Remember that a jacket or top that measures EXACTLY the same as your own body will be far too tight - hence the inclusion of the 'To Fit Chest' guidelines.
